SVFLC Girls' U-13 Inaugural Season!

Girls' Lax!

With two games left and a 4-3 record, our girls have already proven they will be a serious lacrosse force to be reckoned with in seasons to come! Our team consists of 12 rookies (four of whom are 4th graders playing up so they don’t miss a season of play), seven second year players returning from our shared season with Anacortes, and one welcome transplant who played on a competing team before moving to the valley. These girls have put in work to learn the game and compete against clubs with much more experience for both players and coaches. Despite being pretty green, we are VERY proud to have two players who will represent SVFLC on the Time Bandits summer team, one player in a second off-season opportunity with CitySide Lax, and a 4th grade rookie recently selected to play for the Seattle Starz! This is just the beginning of some amazing girls’ lacrosse in Skagit Valley, so come cheer us on for our final regular season game at Sedro-Woolley High School at 9:30 Sunday morning! Go Flyers!

2018 CitySideLax Bellingham Camp

CitySideLax is coming to Bellingham again in 2018.  This year's camp will be from July 23rd-July 26th.  It will be held at Phillips 66 Soccer Park.  This year, the girls camp has been expanded to the full 3 days.  All players in 3rd through 11th grade for the 2017-2018 school year are eligible to participate.

The regular price of this camp is $279.99.  SVFLC is partnering with CitySideLax once again to get discounted registration costs.  Our discount will be dependent on the number of players we send to the camp.  The only way to get the discounted pricing is to register on the SVFLC website for either the boys or girls camp.

Do not pay at time of registration.  When we have established the final discount, we will notify everyone registered for payment.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Honor the Game-Boys Youth

How do lacrosse players 'Honor the Game'?

  • Seeing a player who goes out of his way to encourage and support his own teammates.
  • Noticing a player who consistently gives his all, playing hard but fair.
  • Recognizing verbally a good play, shot, or save by an opponent.
  • Helping an opponent up off of the ground.
  • Friendly banter between attackmen and defenders when the ball is on the other end of the field.
  • Reminding an opponent about is mouth guard or a loose piece of equipment.
  • Seeing an opponent who readily accepts a being called for penalty and makes a conscious effort to learn from his mistake.
  • Players who apologizes for a slash that was not called.
  • Recognizing players who willingly switch teams to help out an opponent who is short of players.
  • Congratulating an opposing goal keeper for making a great save.
